The one thing I would like to ask is that all of my European American friends join the general strike tomorrow.
While most of my European American friends are not the right-wing types wanting to build a 20ft high concrete wall between the US and Mexico, we all must acknowledge that there is a major disconnect between the status-quo belief that White/Euro-Americans are somehow "real" Americans and that Mexican citizens crossing the border to try to feed their families are some sort of parasitic group of criminals that need to be stopped/regulated/controlled.
There is no difference between the European boat people whose families have been here a few generations and citizens from any country showing up here now.
YOU ARE ALL IMMIGRANTS.
White/Euro-Americans: Honor your own families and history by joining the general strike tomorrow.
If it is really important to you that the flow of immigrants to the United States be controlled, please let me know and I will *personally* come to your house and help you pack so that you can more easily repatriate yourselves to Europe. For many centuries, the flow of immigration from Europe was uncontrolled and the ENTIRE world is now paying the price.

Ward Churchill is speaking at the Anarchist bookfair today at 4pm. You know I'll be there. Just thought I'd post for anyone interested.
And for my friends trying to get ahold of me this past week, I was under the weather. Probably a slight relapse of the flu I had a couple weeks back. Fortunately for me, Ward stopped by the house, burned some cedar over my head, and now I'm right as rain.
I'll be catching up on email over the next couple.
love y'all like fuck.

I know so many people that seriously need to read this quote, and then re-read it.
Learn it. Love it. Live it.
Whenever a theory appears to you as the only possible one, take this as a sign that you have neither understood the theory nor the problem which it was intended to solve. - Karl Popper

Holy fuck, that flu that has been going around this winter is a virulent BITCH. Sara and I came down with it at exactly the same time and were so fucking miserable that we could barely take care of each other. I was in bed (not reading email or returning calls, if you've been wondering) for fucking two weeks. I'm finally on the mend and playing hell of catch-up from the past two weeks. If you've written or called and haven't heard from me, that is why and I will be getting back to the lot of you post haste.
It seems like it wasn't that long ago that I mentioned that sometimes crazy people save you. It actually would have been more accurate to say that sometimes crazy Irish people save you...
Cathrine Macauliffe, whereever you are, I hope you have found some peace. I miss you terribly...Fortunately, one of your countrymen (countrywomen?) has been holding my head together. I hope yours is in one piece as well. Saoirse...

While I'm not really the kind of guy that believes in having heroes per se, there are certainly people whose lives have greatly influenced mine in regard to the kind of man I want to ultimately be, and the kind of life I want to live.
I remember waking up 25 years ago and sitting on the bed with my mother, watching the news and crying softly for a long, long time. I find that that generally reoccurs every year on this day, with this one being no exception.

I read the news today oh boy About a lucky man who made the grade And though the news was rather sad Well I just had to laugh I saw the photograph He blew his mind out in a car He didn’t notice that the lights had changed A crowd of people stood and stared They’d seen his face before Nobody was really sure If he was from the House of Lords. I saw a film today oh boy The English Army had just won the war A crowd of people turned away But I just had to look Having read the book. I’d love to turn you on

So at some point, we did some cable access show here in SF. A lovely afternoon, boozed up in the daylight and rocking the hell out of a bunch of cameramen who were more accustomed to filming discussions about municipal budget cuts and the horrors of redistricting.
Did the fucking show air? dunno.
Will anyone ever see the footage? dunno. maybe you'll have to come over to the studio for a private, clothing-optional viewing.
whatever, dude. rock on.

bit by bit getting ready for the show tomorrow night.
Went out the other day and spent a really irresponsible amount of money at the MAC counter in Nordies. Then, of course, me and the kids had to spend like 7 hours playing with make-up and developing my look for the show. Its going to be most dope I can promise you that. A bit more butch than what I normally do, but way more AdamAnt. And after all that time and energy spent on the canvas of my skull, we had nothing to do but just wash it all off as I seem to be the only person on the face of the earth who still doesn't have a digital camera. So many pictures I've been meaning to take and I just can't get around to it. All my friends with digital cameras use them so much that they never want to lend them out.
who says lust can't be cheezy?
Anyway, the new make-up combined with the dapper assed new jacket given to me by Ira and I'm ready Freddie. Lock up your sons and your daughters. Actually, what am I worried about? I bet there are only going to be like 10 people at the show tomorrow. Then again, maybe SMP has more of a fanbase than I give them credit for. But I'm looking forward to it regardless. Any excuse to be onstage if you know me...
Tonight Mr.Gunn comes over and I'm going to give him a total new wave make up and over.
He and I are going to set fire to that fucking stage tomorrow!
RRRRRRRRRRROCK!!!!

so should any of you east bay types find yourselves looking for something to burn a couple of hours this friday, I'll be rockin the metal guitar with Flatline Transmissions again on Friday in Alameda. We're opening up for SMP. I'm not sure who likes SMP these days as I'm so disconnected from that scene these days. But what-evz. If you're around that way, come have a drink with us. We'll toast some Satan.

Currently chilling at my cafe, and I'm telling you, there is something about this place.
Today I show up and sitting in my seat is this Choctaw woman. And not some tiny quantum wannabe, but someone who speaks her language and was raised on the Rez.
Are NDNz just naturally drawn to this cafe? What could cause this influx? Do their pastries smell faintly of frybread? They don't have a liquor license or bingo, so I know its not that...
On that note, I'll leave you with a Lub Sammich shot from my birthday, where you can see my friends ( violentbloom, animikwaan and fightingwords) and I have once again used my bijillion dollar studio as a 10 cent romper room for another debauched bender bash.
It happens.

obviously, I have some serious updating to do, given this last spectacular weekend.
but whether you're here in SF or elsewhere, you should immediately (right now! 7pm PDT, may 26) tune in to Western Addition Pirate Radio as they will be interviewing Flatline Transmissions' lead rockstar CoreyTheGunn.
Flatline Transmissions is the band for whom I have playing guitar lately.
And I hear they might drop in some Mark27 heavy SunshineBlind or even some DeadLanguage.
so tune the fuck in, radio or web...
========================
ok, so if you're just now reading this, you missed it, but that's cool. Once they mic'ed him up proper, CoreyTheGunn cheezed it with gusto. There were some ridiculous conversations about "Goth", but most of them are, enit?
They played three Flatline songs, a Soil and Eclipse song on which Corey played guitar, and a Sunshine Blind track, "You Went Away" on which I played almost everything (heh). But seriously, its one of those tracks that makes me feel all squishy about caroline_blind.
